NYTVF

The NYTVF was launched in 2005 as the industry’s first creative festival for television artists. A pioneer of the “independent television” movement, the Festival strives to construct a new and innovative path for program development. Where a film festival showcases completed works of art, competing for distribution and ready for the market, the NYTVF showcases ideas and talent, complementing the development process required for network, studio and branded entertainment development.

The Independent Pilot Competition (IPC) is the NYTVF’s flagship, annual initiative, accepting independently-produced, original television pilots and series, short films, and short-form web series from around the globe. IPC submissions should be between 4 and 60 minutes in length, and all genres are welcome (Comedy, Animation, Unscripted/Doc, Drama, Family, etc).

Independent Pilot Competition Deadlines:

Early Deadline: Submit by Monday, February 5 for a discounted entry fee ($30)
Regular Deadline: March 12 ($50)
Final Deadline: April 16 ($95)
Procrastinator Deadline: May 1 ($145)

NYTVF Scripts, now in its third year, is accepting original comedy and drama series pilot scripts from around the world for consideration by broadcast, cable, and digital buyers via NYTVF Connect. Submit your comedy or drama TV pilot script for a chance to engage with the largest collection of television decision-makers anywhere on the Festival circuit at the 2018 New York Television Festival.

NYTVF Scripts opens for submissions on March 7, 2018. Find out more: http://nytvf.com/2018_scripts_competition.html

In 2017 alone, the Festival facilitated 600+ meetings between creators and Festival Partners and awarded 14 development opportunities. With over 117,000+ attendees over the festival’s 13 years, the NYTVF has become the premier destination for indie creators. 2018 Official Artists will join a community of thousands of successful NYTVF alumni. Don't miss your chance to get into network and digital development and participate as an Official Artist at the 14th Annual NYTVF in July 2018.
