NYC Indie Film Fest

The NYC Independent Film Festival provides a showcase for the best independent cinema, from NYC and around the world, to the public and entertainment industry. The weeklong celebration screens the best indie films, offers educational panels and presentations helmed by industry professionals, and holds live performances. The Festival gives filmmakers the opportunity for potential distribution and funding, as well as awarding the top films across numerous categories, all whole giving them the opportunity to mingle and network with press, supporters, and fans.

The Festival is focused on low budget and emerging, yet overlooked filmmakers, bringing their talent to culturally enrich the NYC community. The Festival aims to create the largest gathering of true indie filmmakers.

Whether a submission is comedic, dramatic, or something in between, The NYCIndieFF is eager to embrace fresh ideas and storytelling.

Screenwriting Event! August 16, 2018!

One of our 2018 sponsors, ISA, is holding a free event on August 16th at 7 pm in NYC!

As a part of their Third Thursdays events, ISA will be presenting 'From First to Final Draft' - a disucssion with screenwriter, James V. Hart!

WHERE: The Assemblage John Street, 17 John Street, New York, NY, 10038

"Join us for a special Third Thursdays with the ISA - New York as we present the next in our "First Draft to Final Draft" discussion series with screenwriter James V. Hart to explore the development of his screenplay for the modern classic of science fiction Contact, as directed by Robert Zemeckis. Writer and teacher of screenwriting Jessica Hinds will moderate the discussion and audience Q&A. (See below for more on James and Jessica.) ISA New York's Third Thursdays mixer will follow the event. This event is free and open to all, but you must RSVP. This event will be overbooked, so please arrive early, as registration does not guarantee admittance.

Please join us before and after the panel for a refreshing, energizing elixir. NYMPHAEA Botanical Bar’s menu is based on the tradition of Herbal Alchemy: the process of connecting planetary energetics to person and plant. Elixirs are crafted with slow-extraction for the utmost intention and benefit. Affects ranging from immunity, to energy, to relaxation or mood support are offered up in each beautifully presented elixir. For this event, we recommend "Spark" - Keep the creative spark alive with this energizing, intellectually stimulating and rejuvenating elixir."
