New York No Limits


New York No Limits Film Series, launched in November 2010, is an ongoing film event that seeks to program films reflecting the essence of the filmmaker's vision, daring in nature and imbued with stories that cross the line of commercial intent.  It is a platform for filmmakers to explore their most vital vision.

NYNL SUMMIT 2016 November 17th - 19th at The Wild Project NYC. All film genres and styles are accepted. International and student films are encouraged to submit. Over the past 5 years NYNL has screened almost 200 films from 25 countries.  All genres accepted as well as student films. Feature film submissions will open soon. 

NYNL is a ongoing collection of screenings that presents the best short films from around the world in the most unique and dynamic arts city in the world. The series provides filmmakers the opportunity to present innovative, taboo and diverse films to a new audience at the state of the art Wild Project event space.  Feature films are accepted throughout the year. Awards announced at the conclusion of the Summit:

BEST FEATURE FILM $750.00 prize
Best Short Film $500.00 prize

New York No Limits Film Series 2016 Short Film Call for Entry

New York No Limits Film Series is seeking short films in any language or genre for its March 10th, 2016 short film event in New York City. Films should less than 39 minutes in length and completed after January 1st, 2015. All genres, including; drama, comedy, experimental, suspense, action, animation/3D, noir, silent, music video and dance accepted. Foreign language and student films are strongly encouraged to submit.

Deadline for submission is January 31st, 2016 - please go to http://www.filmfreeway.com/festivl/newyorknolimitsfilmseries to submit your film, the fee for entry is $25 USD. Please upload a screener if you are submitting, hard copy DVD's and publicity materials are not needed. Notification of film lineup will be sent on February 18th. The event on March 10th occurs at the Wild Project, 195 E. 3rd in NYC. NYNL strongly considers films that display a palpable reflection of the filmmaker's vision without commercial intent. Films must also exhibit a strong and clear story element and present a unique voice. The lineup is based on quality and craft only - as we have a strong record of programming films from outside the states. 

Films chosen as part of the March 10th short film lineup will also be eligible to appear in our 2016 Summit, which occurs in November, with films also considered to appear 'In Competition'. Winner of Best Short Film is awarded a cash prize.
