Venice Production Bridge Closing Numbers and Highlights

LA BIENNALE DI VENEZIA VENICE PRODUCTION BRIDGE

Venice Production Bridge (VPB) - the market for selected projects - held from September 3rd to 11th, 2020, during the 77. Venice International Film Festival, has successfully wrapped.

Above all we wish to express our thanks to all of the 1.312 Industry delegates who made the trip to Venice or joined online.

As the first major Industry event to have taken place since the lockdown, the Venice Production Bridge gave space to the film community to come together and to find ways on how to move forward. It also demonstrated how film markets can be organised under the current circumstances, respecting all of the sanitary measures, allowing for in-person attendance and actual face-to-face meetings, while also existing virtually for the wider film industry still unable to travel.
As Cate Blanchett, the President of the Jury of the 77. Venice International Film Festival, said in her opening remarks: "Ce l'abbiamo fatta" (We did it)
