Epic ACG Fest

Epic ACG fest is a unique event showcase animation, comics and games. Though screening, exhibition and competition, bring together the creative elements, the artists and the general public from worldwide. 
During the festival, EACG is also hosting the Live Demonstrations, Networking Receptions, Master Workshops, Panel Discussions, Business Symposiums, Recruiting and the Professional Exhibits offered throughout the event as well as the One-On-One Personal Consultations with creative professionals from top studios and educational institutions both local and international. The Award ceremony is a red carpet event that provides recognition and great memories.


2015 Epic ACG Fest Scheduled for November 7-8 in Albany,CA

October 28, 2015; Albany, CA - The 2nd annual Epic ACG Fest (EACGF) will take place from November 7th to 8th, 2015 at the Albany Community Center in East Bay of San Francisco, California.

Organized by Maeya Culture Exchange Group, Epic ACG Fest is a unique event that showcases animation, comics and games. Through animated film screenings, comic art exhibitions, game tournaments, and cosplay contest, EACGF brings together the creative elements, the artists and the general public from worldwide. EACGF’s mission is to promote the art of animation in all forms, to encourage young animators, filmmakers, artists and general public, and to cultivate the interest in the animation culture. It aims to build an open and resourceful platform for artists with various cultural backgrounds to communicate and seek for opportunities to work together.

This year, EACGF announces a loaded lineup of various animated films. There will be 51 selected animated shorts from 15 countries screening at the auditorium. The lineup specifically features two animation programs, one is O!PLA Across the Borders 2015 program from Poland, and the other is Gendai Animation, which selects the excellent works from students of Department of Animation at Graduate School of Film and New Media of Tokyo University of the Arts.

In the comic section, official selections feature a brand-new sci-fi comic series May’s Machine which is created by Wind Man Studio from China, and Mild Family, a pen painting of wolves drew by Chinese artist Yongzhe Pu.  Also, American artist Florsantino Torres Jr’s figure sketches are also included.

For the game tournaments, EACGF will feature two challenging games for gamers. One is six-sided cube puzzle of world-famous artistic masterpieces, and the other is Mahjong, a traditional Chinese game that is widely played throughout Eastern and South Eastern Asia. All-level players will be welcomed to join the tournament. Staff will be assigned to give directions and guidance to new players. Prizes will be given to the top 8 places in the tournament for each day.

Additionally, during the event, EACG will also host the live demonstrations, networking receptions, master workshops, and panel discussions. The award ceremony will be a red carpet event that provides recognitions and great memories.
