JAIPUR INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL : (JIFF)-2010, INDIA JIFF is for all humanity

Is the pink city Jaipur the capital of Rajasthan ready to host an international film festival?
The answer is "Yes'' if one goes by the reporting of the print and TV media circulated to the entire country this year, for the first time the members of Jaipur International Film Festival Society organized two days international festival on 31st January and 1st of February 2009 in Jaipur, like many other prominent film societies.

The advisory board member Raj Bansal said that - Just the thought of attending international film festival always excites me.... We get an opportunity to see some of the best short n documentary films at one place.

In 2010 the Spokesperson/Organizer/Founder member Mr. Hanu Roj said I want to organize a gala film festival in India of true international standards.

JIFF deserve with passion for self identity-Step by step and year after year.

JIFF is a beautiful vision of cinema in the pink city.

JIFF is a live challenge for me and for you also.

JIFF is for all humanity.

Last date for film entry submission: - December 31, 2009

JIFF invites only Short (fiction) and documentary (non fiction) films

No entry fees

1. All films / documentaries shot on film or Video (Analog / Digital format) between 1st January 2005 to 31st December 2009 within a running duration of 30 seconds to 30 minutes are eligible for the festival.

2. Entries of all films / documentaries (hereafter collectively called Films) shall be accepted only in DVD format.

3. There shall be two categories in the festival: short film and documentary film. To be eligible for short film category, a film must be less than 15 minutes in duration while a documentary must not exceed duration of more than 30 minutes.

4. No film can be entered in two categories but all will be eligible for Best Critic Film.

5. If language of the film is other than English or Hindi, it must be dubbed or sub-titled in English.

Special focus in JIFF- 2010

Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq and Iran

The thrust of this festival is to watch human tragedy caused by holocaust of American imperialism in some west Asian countries.

Expected participated country in JIFF-2010

More than 30 countries, we will touch more then 100 countries around the glob through embassy, film societies, clubs, production houses, festivals and film makers' email links etc.

JIFF FIVE YEAR PLAN-2009 to 2013

2009- Since it is the beginning of the festival. The first JIFF was a great success; 3500 film lovers and film makers visited to this festival. 58 short and documentary film and two feature film were screened from 6 countries.

2010- Guest of Honor

New awards- Best Director, Best Script, Best Camera, Best Sound and Best Editing

2011- Pink carpet festival - RGB line

2012- For animation, Ad films entry will open and new awards

2013- Golden Jubilee Year of Indian Cinema
