Workshop for film producers EAVE ON DEMAND will be held in Ukraine

EAVE is proud to organise an EAVE ON DEMAND session in co-operation with Ukrainian Film Academy and in partnership with Odesa International Film Festival supported by Ukrainian Cultural Foundation in October, 15-18, in Kyiv, Ukraine for developing Ukrainian film projects and scripts

 

EAVE ON DEMAND will consist of 4 days of masterclasses and group work sessions, as well as individual meetings for 10 producers and their writers with their projects in development.

 

EAVE ON DEMAND IN KYIV will combine the long experience that EAVE has in international training and networking with a tailor-made approach for producers from Ukraine, taking into account their specific needs.

 

At the EAVE on Demand Kyiv workshop we will combine the long experience that EAVE has in international training and networking with a tailor-made approach for Ukrainian producers, taking into account their specific needs. The objective is to improve the participants’ skills in international coproduction, film finance and management, marketing, packaging as well as script development, allowing them to take the next step in their careers and businesses.

 

The workshops will consist of group work for the selected projects in development and master-classes on international co-production as well as sales & the international market.

 

The experts confirmed for the workshop include the following EAVE experts: group leader Diana Elbaum (Beluga Tree, BE), script consultant Clare Downs and sales and marketing consultant Aranka Matits (Featurette, NL).

 

EAVE target group are producers who already have a track record and credit as producer (of short or long feature films and/or documentaries) and who are willing to open up to the international market and to co-produce internationally.
 All workshop sessions will be in English.
 The fee for participation in master-classes is 500 EUR.

EAVE on Demand Kyiv is organized by EAVE and Ukrainian Film Academy in partnership with Odesa International Film Festival and supported by Ukrainian Cultural Foundation. 

 

 

EAVE is Europe’s leading training, development and networking organization for producers. In addition to our flagship programme, the renowned European Producers Workshop, we are involved in a variety of programmes in Europe, Asia, Latin America, Russia, Africa and the Middle East. Founded in 1988, EAVE’s objectives are to provide professional training opportunities and to bring producers from different regions of the world together with the aim of facilitating co-production relationships. EAVE’s unique international network comprises over 2,700 producers and key decision makers (funders, sales agents, distributors, commissioning editors etc.).

 

The Ukrainian Film Academy is an association comprised of experts and professionals in the cinema and film industry. The Academy objectively marks the achievements of Ukrainian filmmakers in twenty nominated categories and presents annual awards. Established in 2017, the academy’s mission is to provide comprehensive support and development to the Ukrainian national cinema.

 

Odesa International Film Festival is the festival which has one of the largest audiences in Eastern Europe. It is an annual film festival held in cinema capital of Ukraine – Odesa. Founded in 2010 for the popularization of high-level intellectual films among Ukrainian viewers and also for support, development of cinema inside the country and internationally. Festival is the biggest film event in Ukraine and one of the most popular film festivals in Europe. OIFF became the leading platform for film industry professionals with its Film Industry Office and Film Market, creating opportunities for co-productions and cooperation between international producers, Ukrainian professionals, cinemas, film studios, distributors etc. Besides the actual festival in July, OIFF also organizes a Winter Film Market and industry training events. 

 

The Ukrainian Cultural Foundation is a state-owned institution created in 2017 in correspondence with the Law of Ukraine with aim to facilitate development of culture and arts in Ukraine, to provide favourable environment for development of intellectual and spiritual potential of individuals and society, wide access for the citizens to national cultural heritage, to support cultural diversity and integration of the Ukrainian culture into the world cultural space. The Ukrainian Cultural Foundation supports projects through a competitive selection process.
