TIFFCOM 2012 to be Held in Odaiba, the New One-stop Marketplace!

For its ninth year, TIFFCOM 2012, the multi-content market affiliated with the Tokyo International Film Festival, will be switching venues  from Roppongi Hills to GRAND PACIFIC LE DAIBA in Odaiba, Tokyo.
(The event is scheduled to be hosted by METI, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and UNIJAPAN).
Our reasons for the move include the restrictions in available space and difficulties in securing the venue for the following year. The new location will allow a 20% increase in exhibition space, enabling us to expand even further as a content market.
With facilities such as screening rooms and presentation rooms available all on the same floor, TIFFCOM will be reinvented as a “one-stop marketplace” with all business functions made accessible in one space.
Tokyo’s Odaiba area is easily accessible from Haneda and Narita airports, and accommodation will be provided within the GRAND PACIFIC LE DAIBA for guests invited from overseas. With the hotel overlooking Tokyo Bay and the Rainbow Bridge, we seek to provide a calm environment that will enable participants to focus on their business meetings.
The 25th Tokyo International Film Festival will be held October 20-28, 2012 in Roppongi Hills in Minato Ward, and TIFFCOM 2012 will take place October 23-25, also in Minato Ward. We are planning a transportation service that will allow visitors to visit both venues.
<TIFFCOM 2012 Outline>
Date & Time: October 23-25, 2012 9:00-18:00 (17:00 for the final day)
