 'The Traitor’ by Marco Bellocchio will be feted as the ‘Best International Feature Film of the Year’ at ‘Capri, Hollywood - The International Film Festival 2019’ that will take place in Capri from December 26^th to January 2^nd.

The gala to honor the film telling the story of the Mafia turncoat Tommaso Buscetta, featuring a mesmerizing performance by  Pierfranceso Favino in the title role, will be another step in the global road of the Italian entry to the Academy Awards 2020. Campaigning activities are in full swing in the US where the Italy-French-Germany-Brasil produced feature film (with Beppe Caschetto producing with Ibc Movie, Kavac Film and Rai Cinema) is obtaining wide critical acclaim before its opening in US theatres on January 31^st by Sony Pictures Classic.

'The Traitor', presented at the latest Cannes Film Festival, is also running for the Efa - European Film Awards 2019 in 5 main categories.

The 24^th edition of ‘’Capri, Hollywood 2019’’, promoted under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Culture and the Region Campania will be dedicated to Gillo Pontecorvo, in the centenary of his birth. The great Italian filmmaker has been the god father and a precious inspiration behind our Festival, since its inception, in 1995, together with Lina Wertmueller, who has just been honored with the Honorary Award of the Academy and the Star on the Walk of Fame, at the end of a long supporting work carried out by the Istituto Capri nel Mondo in association with Siae and the Region Basilicata.
