The 11th Odesa International Film Festival presents its official posterOIFF continues its tradition to create concept posters and presents a new image This year the image of the Odesa International Film Festival, created by the creative agency BBDO Ukraine, reproduces the one vital thing for cinema - its audience. The movie tells us stories that you need to watch in order to see them. Despite the fact that the 11th Odesa International Film Festival will take place online due to objective circumstances, we could not take this opportunity away from our audience. After all, cinema is primarily the art of visual storytelling. While watching movies, we immerse ourselves in other worlds, meet many characters and together experience emotions that will leave an aftertaste for sure. "The stories that live in the eyes of the audience are the core of the poster. Comedy, thriller, drama, crime, mystery - all these worlds are united by one thing - the person who watches them. Through a movie projector, they give a variety of emotions, cause a number of questions and raise many topics. Of course, we were all looking forward to immersing ourselves into the world of cinema through the big screen. But the pandemic made its adjustments. Therefore, we decided to suggest OIFF guests to let the movies in. After all, big screen or not, the story will always find its audience. And those who have not yet been to the Odesa International Film Festival for various reasons, now have a chance to visit it", the general producer of the OIFF Julia Sinkevych said.
The 11th Odesa International Film Festival will take place online from 25 September to 3 October 2020. The festival will also feature a traditional open air cinematic performance at the Potemkin Stairs in Odesa.
