Tallinn Industry Days kicks off with an unprecedented line-up of Asian and North American professionals

The top movers from Asian and American independent industry from producers to financiers, festivals and institutions are meeting up in Estonia on 26-28 November to boost their cooperation across continents, Estonia and North Eastern Europe. Multinational hits, Asian project markets, potential of genre biz, and crowd funding are tackled in a two day meet with a unique finance and matching program with local startup and risk capital leaders.
Black Nights Film Festival in its 16th edition has proven its reputation as a leading festival of the region and is this time attracting industry leaders on a never-before-seen global scale.
Tiina Lokk, the director of the festival: ”The Black Nights Film Festival’s programme has grown to span the globe and attract talent from Asia to America. This year I’m happy that the Industry event is measuring up to this success and bringing to Tallinn an impressive international line-up of film industry professionals.”
Tallinn Industry Days is proud to present distinguished speakers from Asia, Europe and North America such as In Ah Lee (Wim Wenders / LeeLee Films), Oh Jungwan (Korea, Come Rain Come Shine), Lorna Tee (Hong Kong-Malaysia, Postcards from Zoo), Steven Hoban (Canada, 338 Arletta Avenue), Peter van Steemburg (Magnolia Pictures), Colin Brown (Slated, CNBC), Nam Dong Chul (Asian Project Market), JT Nam (Network of Asian Fantastic Films), Steven Hoban (Ginger Snaps, Canada), Travis Stevens (Snowfort Pictures, USA) and others who will put the emphasis on benefits gained from real life experiences and case studies from award winning festival hits to multinational productions.
Sten Saluveer, director of Tallinn Industry Days: “Following the success of the previous year’s edition, we return with even stronger focus on Asian-European-US networking, inspiring and real life based sessions and international producer matching programme.”
The event, organized in partnership with Estonian Film Cluster  and FilmEstonia will bring to the region the best Asian project markets and their leaders including Asian Project Market (Busan), Hong Kong Asia Film Finance Forum, Korean Film Council and UNIJAPAN to present and team them with new shooting and post-production opportunities managed by Estonian Film Commission. In fact, several filmmakers are extending their stay in Estonia to scout for locations for their upcoming productions.
New opportunities for funding are boosted by one of a kind film financing forum for Nordic startup and risk capital managers. The Industry Days aims to bring closer the two sectors by a specialized finance forum matching industry tops with regional startup leaders for funding and development possibilities.
