Rutger Hauer guest speaker list for FEST – Training Ground 2012

This time around it is time to welcome a living legend. Rutger Hauer became a household name in 1982 for his outstanding performance in Ridley Scott´s great masterpiece Blade Runner. Since then he has plays some of the most memorable parts in modern film history, such as in Robert Harmon´s horror classic The Hitcher or in Richard Donner´s Ladyhawk. More recently he has worked on films such as George Clooney´s Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, Robert Rodriguez´s Sin City, Christopher Nolan´s Batman the Biggining and Mikael Hafstrom The Ritual.

Rutger Hauer´s experience, gathered in a career spanning across 4 decades, is unquestionably of great value. He is coming to Portugal to head a master class on the relation between the director and the actor.

FEST – TRAINING GROUND is a place where young film enthusiast and film makers from all over the world gather in one week, to attend a deluxe training from workshops to master classes, lectured by industry top experts with recognized achievements. In Espinho, Portugal, 15 minutes south of Porto in the seacoast line. A tourism orientated city and one of the summer hotspots of Portugal.

All in one
Training ground is all in one program, as participants will not only enjoy a six day deluxe training program, but also will be able to attend the screenings of FEST – International Film Festival, as parallel activities, and even have the oportunity to have their films financed, all of this having as a scenario the beautiful seacoast city of Espinho, one of the most looked for seacoast location in all of Portugal.


In one place participants will enhance their knowledge, be up to date with the best new films in a wide range of styles, and interact with methods and young film makers from the 4 corners of the planet, the value of this experience is overwhelming for any participant.
