New York, Green New York...is this how festivals are born?

OK so I know you want to know how pop singer AUBREY O’DAY from Danity Kane did speaking at the United Nations last night. Did she fall flat on her face ….the answer is a big old NO.

She did a great job last night at a Tribute to Live Earth and evening of film as the evening’s awards hostess at the Dag Hammarskjold Auditorium at United Nations Headquarters.

The evening was a side event of the DPI/NGO Conference titled CLIMATE CHANGE – HOW IT AFFECTS US ALL. The conference has delegates come from all over the world to meet regarding the important topics on the world stage.

Producer Suzanne Engo who also founded the New York AIDS Film Festival and put on the event said " I swear this is how film festivals are born. When there's this much content energy and excitement for more it's enough to at least consider it..." Engo continued to say "I'd probably call it the Green Room and have it as a series in New York and one concentrated weekend in Los Angeles but let's see I just completely fell in love with the Live Earth Shorts and there are so many more amazing green films popping up"

The event was opened by Juan Carlos Brandt Chief of the DPI/NGO section and the entire shin dig was sponsored by “IT” environmental dry cleaner GREEN APPLE CLEANERS….CEO David Kistner spoke on the red carpet to cameras about how he quit his job in the corporate airline business when his wife got pregnant because he found out that the toxins from the dry cleaning were hurting her and potentially their unborn baby….Aaaw a green romance. The other two ceos were there aswell The Dashing Dante Ferrarie and Chris Skelley were also on the red carpet seen taking photos with Uber Babe Italian Supermodel and Bag Designer Greta Cavazzoni. Also sighted Dr Judy Kuriansky who is on the planning committee for the conference ..who knew… Go Dr Judy.

Four of the sixty Live Earth Films were screened. Kevin Wall made a great speech thanking all that came together to make Live Earth happen. Also awarded British Film Producer Kit Hawkins for managing the SOS Film Programming and Academy Award Nominee for Deliver us From Evil, Amy Berg .

Then there was a private dinner held at Casa La Femme after the shin dig the owner Medhat present learning all about how toxins can hurt the babies from Green Apple Exec since he’s just had a baby… Kevin Wall was present along with Hawkins and Berg …Italian babes Cavazzoni with gal pal socialite Petra Granata. Also seen Uber Brain Dan Esty of Yale Environmental Law Program, Model/Photog Gemma Gambee, and lots of beautiful African Girls , Model Yomi Abiola and Ghanian British TV Host June Sarpong seen chatting with Designer Bradley Bayou about his book Science of Style and both asking Event Producer and United Naitons Brat Suzanne Engo about getting a tour of the United Nations sometime. Amy Bergs plus one the always very cool hat designer Voula .

And as if the night didn’t want to end… Engo and Aubrey O’day later that night outside Gramercy park hotel gabbing to TMZ about the whole night and saying Young Hollwood can do and wants to do more… And then running off a list of things you could do to save the environment. Engo from Girl Behind the Camera leaving from an event as the guest of Greta Cavazzoni and the very cool Nic Rhodes from Duran Duran…Also seen Cody Ross Fashion Designer Priestesses… Lastly Model Tyson Beckford talking to Engo about how he is trying to make a difference in Africa and how maybe they could do something together as he jumped into his SUV wait that’s not eco friendly….but oh wait he was totally carpooling having the car filled with passengers and he’s doing a water project in Africa…And can you really be mad at Tyson Beckford for anything… he’s so hot!

The UN event TOTALLY eco friendly from the farmers market bought hors doevre’s made by catered Kimberly Belle…to the Recycled Glass Awards , the gift boxes filled with environmentally friends pens and other things including dry cleaning gift certificate, and Brittish hottie, uber millionare and uber environmentalist David De Rothschilds GLOBAL WARMING SURVIVAL HAND BOOK. The event had no program to not waste paper and apples as décor instead of cut flowers…

Uber Babes, Uber Brains, Uber Millions, Uber Environmentalist

UBER GREEN… And maybe a new film festival coming your way???

That’s it what more do you want… Go change your light bulbs or something …
