Making Waves: New Romanian Cinema retrospective, The Romanians30 Years of Cinema Revolution. This landmark cinema event spans the 30 years following the revolution and fall of communism, and is the largest series dedicated to Romanian film ever to be presented in the U.S. to date. The exhibition includes 30 groundbreaking cinematic classics such as Un Certain Regard winner The Death of Mr Lăzărescu by Cristi Puiu, Lucian Pintilie’s The Oak in new 4K restoration, Tuesday, After Christmas by Radu Muntean, Venice Film Festival Silver Lion winner Luxury Hotel by Dan Pița, 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days by Cristian Mungiu, Videograms of a Revolution by Harun Farocki and Andrei Ujică and so many others. You can see the retrospective trailer here.
