Loss Adjuster, British feel good family Christmas film, starts shooting in north London

Loss Adjuster is a British feel good family Christmas film filled with humour which also manages to mix sensitive issues of our times about despair and loneliness. The film has a wonderful uplifting ending which is so classic of a Christmas film for a modern audience.

The film started film in North London for 5 weeks after already shooting a week at the end of October.

The film stars LUKE GOSS, who is astounding everyone with his first performance in a dramatic role,  DAME JOAN COLLINS (The Time of Their Lives, Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie),  MARTIN KEMP (The Krays, HIGHLANDER TV SERIES),KYM MARSH (Coronation Street, Hollyoaks, Holby City, CATHY TYSON (Mona Lisa, The Serpent And The Rainbow), GUY SINER (Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl,  Return to the Secret Garden, 'Allo 'Allo), LORNA FITZGERALD (East Enders), ROSS O’HENNESSY (Game Of Thrones); and rising star DAVID BYRNE (Doctors, King’s Man, Spaceship) to mention a few.

The film is being produced by London based Jayney Mackie of Pink Flamingo Films and financed by Pink Flamingo Media. The director is Vincent Woods (Harrigan, People, Politics & Planes) and the project is Executive Produced by world renowned ‘Rocker’ ALAN WHITEHEAD of the hit sixties band ‘Marmalade’ and HANNES SCHALLE of Moonlake Entertainment (Silent Night, Lauda- The Untold Story, Sir Jackie Stewarts Green Hell, Cinderella, Red Phone 1 & 2, The Iceman etc)

The film will deliver for a Christmas 2020 release.

Pink Flamingo Films was set up in 2015 by Jayney Mackie to develop and Produce commercial film and television. To date the company has produced the TV series Rock N Roll Cars 10 x 30min episodes and has in pre production a psychological horror feature “10” in the style of a modern ‘OMAN’ which will shoot in Rome and is a co-production with Pete Maggie’s Ciné 1 Italy, as well as ‘Young Robinson Crusoe’  an 8 x 1 TV series which which will start production March 2020.

Other projects in the pipe line for next year is the feature film based on the best selling book and true story of JUDY A DOG IN A MILLION by Damien Lewis -  a beautiful liver and white English pointer, and the only animal POW of WWII, truly was a dog in a million. Whether she was dragging men to safety from the wreckage of a torpedoed ship, scavenging food to help feed the starving inmates of a hellish Japanese POW camp, or by her presence alone bringing inspiration and hope to men living through the 20th century’s darkest days, she was cherished and adored by the British, Australian, American and other Allied servicemen who fought to survive alongside her. The screenplay has been written by BAFTA winner David Skynner.

STORM IN OMAN - Oman, 1972: A young captain on his first posting with the SAS must command a handful of hardened special forces soldiers during an assault by hundreds of communist rebels over one night. At stake is the fate of a country that just happens to control the world's oil supply. When Everything Went Wrong. Nine Men Had the Courage to do what Was Right. Film will start casting January 2020.

Pink Flamingo is also set to produce Vincent Woods's next feature films the first of which will start casting early 2020 –Calum’s Way is the true story of crofter and local Lighthouse Keeper, Calum Macleod who is forced to build a two mile cliff top road through ‘impossible terrain’ single-handedly over 20 years on a remote Scottish Island near the Isle of Skye.  The council had refused many times to build one. He was 70 years old when he finally finished it and was hailed as a ‘wonder of civil engineering’. The film entitled “Calum’s Way” is told through the eyes of Calum’s daughter, Julie, this truly universal  and inspirational story will capture a wide audience across the world.
