Cinema with a view – IFF Mannheim-Heidelberg at the Heidelberg Castle for the first time
Mannheim-Heidelberg, 14 October 2010--- The upcoming 59th International Filmfestival Mannheim-Heidelberg will take place at the Heidelberg Castle in November 2010 for the first time.
„We have found a real festival location here - up above the city of Heidelberg, with a splendid view over the valley“, says Festival director Dr. Michael Koetz. „Two large festival theatres and heated, cosy large tents are waiting for our visitors and guests where they can meet up and discuss the films.“
The Opening Night of the festival will take place at the new location at Heidelberg Castle on November 11, 2010.
The film theatres will be set on the grounds of the Castle Gardens, on the historical grounds of the „hortus palatinus“. The use of the funicular serving Heidelberg Castle will be free for all visitors and guests during the festival.
The 59th International Filmfestival Mannheim-Heidelberg takes place from 11 to 21 November 2010
