I thought I should share this video shot with the new iphone 4S, (2 of them actually) stunning quality!

I thought I should share this video shot with the new iphone 4S, (2 of them actually) stunning quality!

Below in 1080p (great sound too!)

On October 14, 2011, Todd Giglio received two of the highly anticipated iPhone 4S. He and his band mates in The Turnback knew what they wanted to do: make the very first music video with the phones' impressive cameras. They had already chosen a song from their album, "Cellophane Sky", and outlined the shooting. Then they swooped into Webster Hall with a phalanx of Bollywood and nightclub dancers, and lead actress/dancer Natalya Rose of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. After a necessarily efficient shoot and a marathon editing session, the video was uploaded on YouTube a few days after receiving the phones. They made it; "Cellophane Sky" was first. Apple evangelists and techogeeks were some of the first to catch on because of the iPhone cachet, but the magic exponents of viral video have started to take effect, and they are getting thousands of new views per hour.

This is a good break for the band because it fits in so well with what they've done. Many musicians talk about what happens when a band tries to get noticed over the years (growing up and growing older), but Todd Giglio (with college friend and brother-in-law Christopher Springer) wrote those concerns into a feature film, Drawing with Chalk, for which the album, Drawn in Chalk, is the soundtrack and the source of the single "Cellophane Sky." The film garnered a number of festival honors, and the CD stands on its own as a well-received power-pop/rock album that has had an opening round of solid reviews. With the success of the (first) iPhone 4S video, will more attention come to The Turnback? They have an upcoming performance on November 4 as part of the International Pop Overthrow Festival. A European tour may be taking shape for spring 2012. The Turnback seems to have some more "firsts" coming up.
