HOPE INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL gave its awards in an institution in Palermo for disabled people

Last tuesday morning the second edition of the International Film Festival Hope made a stop in Palermo at AIAS PALERMO and Fadi El-Lawand, founder of the film festival, awarded the President Dr. Salvatore Nicitra. The ceremony was attended by disabled children and health workers and ended with the planting of a tree in the garden of the Centro Aias Palermo Onlus in via Raiti.

 

The festival is dedicated to showing films on disabled people, highlight humanitarian issues related to people with special needs or living through unusual social situations The festival jury (including your editor BRUNO CHATELIN) gave its awards to the features, documentaries and shorts from the competition. All were screened on board the Costa Firenze cruising the mediterranean sea, and offshore in Rome, Genoa, Marseille and Barcelona...

The festival fullfilled it s mission giving hope to the audience in a very joyfull CELEBRATION OF GETTING TOGETHER!

The Italian Spastic Assistance Association is a private non-profit association that works to protect and promote the right of disabled people to rehabilitation, health, education, education, work and social integration, in harmony with the provisions of the Italian Constitution and the UN Convention on the rights of people with disabilities.
