Göteborg Film Festival wraps up the 44th edition

After a festival edition like no other, presenting a digital programme with 70 films from 39 countries, the Isolated Cinema concept, streamed concerts, a daily podcast as well as a vibrant online industry programme, the 44th Göteborg Film Festival is now closed. With a record high attendance – with industry delegates from 46 countries – at Nordic Film Market and TV Drama Vision and a doubled festival audience we look back at some of the highlights from the leading film festival in Scandinavia.

Göteborg Film Festival’s 8th Nostradamus Report – “Transforming Storytelling Together” – was unveiled on February 4. Watch Johanna Koljonen’s presentation from this year's Nordic Film Market and download the report.

This year’s Nostradamus Report takes a look at the impact five years ahead in terms of collapsing windows and the transformation into a content releasing landscape, shaped in a common effort among virtually every stakeholder in the industry.

The 8th Nostradamus report was presented by author and media analyst Johanna Koljonen. The presentation was followed by a conversation with Tomas Eskilsson, Head of Strategy at Film i Väst on the upcoming European report on public financing, Public Funding at a Crossroads.

Relive highlights from TV Drama Vision

Take part in sessions from this year's online edition of TV Drama Vision presented at Göteborg Film Festival February 3–4.

The programme comprised our honorary guest, multiple award winning Danish director and screenwriter Susanne Bier, high end sessions with a spotlight on the future of the scripted television industry with keynote speakers including Guy Bisson, Walter Iuzzolino and Johanna Koljonen. Other sessions included the global success of Spanish drama, Virtual Production, new and upcoming series from the Nordics, the annual Nordisk Film & TV Fond Prize, and much more!

Film Forum Sweden 2021

Explore sessions from this year's Film Forum Sweden! The programme was presented at the festival's online industry platform February 1–5.

Dragon Awards 2021

The full lineup of Göteborg Film Festival's winners and awards has been announced!

Tigers by Ronnie Sandahl won Best Nordic Film and Best Acting (Erik Enge). Pleasure by Ninja Thyberg received the FIPRESCI Award, Flee by Jonas Poher Rasmussen was awarded Best Nordic Documentary.
