Göteborg Film Festival TV Drama Vision unveils more 2023 programme highlights

 copyright Endemol Shine Finland

We're delighted to present additional speakers, talks and showcases for the TV Drama Vision! The full programme will be released on January 23.

Among this year's edition highlights are the world's leading game creator and award-winning film director Josef Fares. We will present an exclusive work in progress for the first Netflix-commissioned Finnish drama, Dance Brothers. In the programme we also highlight the need for shared stories and industry-wide solidarity with Ukraine by presenting the initiative Ukraine Content Club. As always, we welcome key Nordic broadcasters and streamers to join us on stage to share their insights and plans for the future. And that's just some of it, we have more to announce!

As previously presented, the 2023 headline for TV Drama Vision is Navigating Disruption and Cultivating Talent. Together with the industry, we will look into how business and financing models are being remodelled, the quest for keeping and engaging the audience, nurturing creative talent, and the need for systematic sustainability throughout the value chain.

TV Drama Vision 2023 is now sold out!
However, it is still possible to get a TV Drama Vision online accreditation.

Work in Progress: Dance Brothers

Join for an exclusive work in progress of the first Netflix/YLE commissioned drama series from Finland!

Brothers Roni and Sakari struggle to make a living as professional dancers. They start their own club to finance their dreams, which provides income, housing and training space. However, artistic ambitions and personal relationships soon collide with commercial demands. The loyalty and love the brothers have for each other will be tested by the one thing that always united them - dance.

Max Malka, Head of Scripted at Endemol Shine Finland, will join us on stage for the work in progress and share her insights from the production on the need for social and ecological sustainability and how it contributes to the quality of scripted drama.
