FOCUS ASIA - All Genres Project Market] The third edition will be held in Udine from 30th April to 2nd May 2019. Deadline: 15th

FOCUS ASIA
All Genres Project Market 2019

The perfect event for the film industry,
where the Far East meets Europe.

The third edition will be held in Udine
from 30th April to 2nd May 2019.

Deadline for submissions: 15th February 2019

UDINE – After a successful 2018 edition, the third edition of FOCUS ASIA All Genres Project Market, dedicated to “the films of tomorrow”, with a strong co-production and co-financing potential in Europe or in Asia, will be held from 30th April to 2nd May 2019 – within the 21st edition of Far East Film. It will bring more than 200 professionals coming from all over the world to Udine, with the aim of creating new connections between Asia and Europe. It is possible to submit the projects online through the following link http://www.fareastfilm.com/all-genres-project-market-2019/ before 15th February.

For the last edition, 14 projects from 12 countries were selected, and more than 200 one-to-one meetings were organized between the selected teams and the decision makers attending the event.

"We expect to receive a lot of long feature fiction film submissions from all over the world this year, from the extreme genre projects to auteur films. Furthermore, for the first time, the submissions are also open to TV series and animation fiction films: we will explore the industries of the two continents even further." said Sabrina Baracetti, Far East Film Festival’s President.

For the third edition of FOCUS ASIA the partnerships with the representatives of the leading genre film festivals are already confirmed: Thomas Nam from BIFAN (Bucheon, South Korea), Sten-Kristian Saluveer from Black Nights Film Festival - Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event (Tallinn, Estonia), Mike Hostench from Sitges International FFF of Catalonia (Sitges, Spain) and Valeria Richter from the Nordic Genre Boost (Oslo, Norway) are directly involved in the project selection.

From 29th April to 3rd May, mid-FEFF, the Italian session of the 11th edition of Ties That Bind will also be held. TTB is the Asia-Europe co-production workshop dedicated to Asian and European producers. The deadline for the submissions is Wednesday 31st January 2019. All the info is available online: https://eave.org/programmes/ties-that-bin-2019/

TIES THAT BIND is organized by Fondo Audiovisivo FVG, EAVE, Udine Far East Film Festival and Southeast Asian Audio-Visual Association (SAAVA), with the support of Creative Europe - MEDIA sub-programme of the European Union, Silver Media Group and Aurora Media Holdings.
