Inviting all filmmakers of colour to network online and share your story!

 

Academy member and award-winning directorFrances-Anne Solomon cordially invites you to a networking event celebrating filmmakers of colour. With the aim to lift up and amplify more of our voices, the event encourages the exchange of ideas, sharing of knowledge and advice

 

The event is open to writers, directors designers, cinematographers and other creatives. Whatever your discipline - we’d love to see you there. 

 

This networking event will take place on Thursday, May 28th at 2PM EST | 7PM GMT on Zoom and participants are encouraged to come prepared to introduce themselves and asks questions. 

 

In order to allow everyone to connect, the event capacity is 50 spots that will be accessed on a first-come first-serve basis.

 

*With deep respect for our non-POC allies, this event is only open to Filmmakers who identify as a Person of Colour.

The Windrush Caribbean Film Festival (WCFF) aims to engage audiences about the Windrush generations' contributions through screenings, talkbacks and a Microcinema competition.

 

Films will thematically be centred around racism, colonialism, immigration and cultural contributions with the goal of discussing and celebrating this iconic generation.

 

We understand the importance of telling our stories, and our newsletter will keep you informed on Windrush related films, news and personalities making efforts for change.
