Documentary in Europe's pitching forum is looking for documentary projects

forum, match making sessions, screenings, seminars and master classes. It all takes place on July 7-10 in the beautiful mounting village Bardonecchia, close to Turin, Italy. Submission deadline is May 12, 2010.

Documentary in Europe gather both experienced and newcomers to discuss, watch and present documentaries as well as form new networks for future collaboration. Depending on the status of your project, you can submit it to either the pitching forum or the match making session.

The Pitching Forum

Documentary in Europe's pitching forum is looking for documentary projects developed for international co-production. 21 projects will be selected to participate. The participants will be required to attend a 3-day preparation lab on July 6-8 with the opportunity to re-write the project presentation under guidance from international tutors. The pitching of the projects will be on July 9-10 in front of an international panel of financiers. The participation fee is: first participant with project 300 Euro, second participant/observer 250 Euro. A 20% reduction is given to members of EDN, doc.it & F.E.R.T.

Match Making

The Match Making session gives an opportunity for authors and directors to introduce themselves to the documentary world and present their ideas at a very early stage. The 15 selected filmmakers will present their documentary ideas to European producers and other professionals. The aim is to create a link and common language between newcomers and established documentary makers. The selected documentary ideas will be introduced in a special Match Making session. A preliminary introduction will be given to all participants. The price for participation with a project is 200 Euro, second participant/observer 160 Euro. A 20% reduction is given to members of EDN, doc.it & F.E.R.T.

You can read about how to submit your project for either The Pitching Forum or the Match Making at http://www.edn.dk/activities/edn-activity-texts/documentary-in-europe-2010 or http://www.docineurope.org/
