The Cinema Heritage festival announces the 9 films in the International Competition after more than 500 films were viewed.

Eva Peydro, Barbara Lorey de Lacharrière and Philip Cheah, who make up the Selection Committee for the first edition of the Cinema Heritage festival, have viewed 500 films from 56 different countries and are presenting the finalists.

The International Competition comprises 9 films :

Organised by the association AITYSH France under the patronage of UNESCO, Cinema Heritage is the international film festival dedicated to showcasing the world's cinematic heritage.

With this in mind, two international filmmakers will be the guests of honour at the closing ceremony (02.12.2023) and will be thanked for their filmographies, whose works are now considered part of the world cinema heritage :

Costa Gavras, French filmmaker, screenwriter and producer (Amen, Adults in The Room, Music Box, Missing, Z...)
Cristian Mungiu, Romanian director, scriptwriter and producer (4 months, 3 weeks, 2 days, Beyond the Hills, Graduation...) R.M.N. will be screened during the festival.
