Offering 10 awards and over $125,000 in cash and prizes, the WSFF honours exceptional creators whose talent and dedication inspires audiences and budding filmmakers alike.
2007 welcomes two new award sponsors: TELUS to present the Audience Choice Award, a $5,000 cash award chosen by festival audiences and Charles Street Video who will present the Symposium PITCHer’s award, a $5,000* prize worth of High Definition equipment and post-production services towards one lucky pitcher's next short!
“We’re extremely grateful to our sponsors who provide these awards in support of emerging talent,” says Eileen Arandiga, Festival Director. “Nurturing the next generation of filmmakers benefits the filmmaking industry and audiences around the world.”
