FROM ON HIGH wins the SOLIDARITY PRIZE at Festival Pasinetti in Venice! "From On High" was awarded the PREMIO SOLIDARIETA', Vetrina del Volontariato (Solidarity Prize) at the 15th annual Festival Pasinetti in Venice, Italy on June 2nd, 2018. The film deals with a Syrian refugee girl who finds a better life in Europe. Filmed on location in Catalunya by Imatge Barcelona's Pol Carrizo Vilarroig, the piece marks the professional acting debut of 11-year-olds Zoe Pinell Lopez and Esteve Serra Coll. GC Johnson of Acoustic Labs, a 2016 Peer Raben Music Award nominee, composed the film's original score. "From On High" was written and helmed by Dawn Westlake of Ron de Cana Productions, Inc. This is her 57th award over a career of 19 films since 2000.
