FROM ON HIGH on the Isle of Corsica with Festival du Film de Lama!FROM ON HIGH was selected to the Festival du Film de Lama on the Isle of Corsica for July 28-August 3, 2018. Directed and written by Dawn Westlake, the film is about a Syrian refugee girl who finds a better life in Europe. The film marks the professional acting debut of 11-year-olds Zoe Pinell Lopez and Esteve Serra Coll. Shot on location in Barcelona, Collsuspina and La Sala de Sant Llogari, Catalunya, Spain by Pol Carrizo Vilarroig of Imatge Barcelona, FROM ON HIGH just won a Best Cinematography Award at the Carpine d'Argento Film Festival in Visciano, Italy. An original score for the film was composed by GC Johnson of Acoustic Labs. Johnson was a 2016 Peer Raben Music Award nominee for a collaboration with director Dawn Westlake on her 2015 film, "Through the Pane".
