The 4th Chilean International Film Festival- CINE//B_4"

Festival
Cine//B present annually a selection of the most innovative and outstanding
cinematographic and audiovisual productions, among feature films, documentaries
of creation and hybrid films.

Defined as
a Festival that offers a platform of activity and development of independent
cinema, Cine//B puts accent in give visibility to the most innovative and
controversial cinematographic and audiovisual works from the whole world,
serving as a promotional platform to the public and professionals of the
industry.

The
Festival has competitive and international character. Films can be finished or
in progress. Each screening shows a short film, a WIP and a feature film. First
and second films are prioritized.

Most of the
national films pre selected for the Festival has not been selected in other
National Festivals because they are not finished in 35 mm or because
exclusivity is demanded. This kind of criteria had left many films out of the
Chilean Festival circuit. For this reason, most of these films will have its
premiere in Cine//B and will generate a lot of expectation in the public.

We call people
from industry to came and watch all the films in competition and WIP, in order
to have the chance later to have private meetings according their interest.

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

1.     To give visibility to the public and
professionals, serving as a promotional platform of the most innovative and
controversial cinematographic and audiovisual works produced in Chile that may
contribute to the mutual understanding between cultures.

2.     To serve as a meeting point between
the Chilean cinema and the rest of the world, to create bounds in the
development, co-production and distribution of national and international cinema.

3.     To offer a platform of work for the
development and diffusion of young independent cinema.

RULES OF PARTICIPATION

* The call is always open.
* Chilean and foreign films can apply .
* Only independent films finished in video will be selected.
* Films can be finished or be in process.
* First and second films will be prioritized.
* It doesn't matter the gender or record support.
* It doesn't matter the running time; we show shorts and feature films.
* We are not interested in if you are student, or in your curriculum, or your last name; it only matters that you have a good film.
* We don't accept films finished in 35 mm.
* It doesn't mater if it has been launched commercially.
* It doesn't matter if it has competed before or if it has been selected in another Festival, national or international.
* Films cannot be previous to January 2009.
* The exhibition will be in digital.
* Films in process will be shown in the section CINEMA IN MOTION and you have to send a teaser of 10 minutes.
* The national feature films awards are:
1. BEST FILM
2. BEST DIRECTOR
3. BEST CAST
4. BEST CINEMATOGRAPHY
5. BEST SOUND DESIGN
6. AUDIENCE CHOICE AWARD
7. HONORABLE MENTIONS (defined by the Jury).
*The international competition for feature films will have an award for:
1. BEST FILM
2. HONORABLE MENTIONS (defined by the Jury)
* National and International Short films will compete for only one prize in each category.

* Deadline for submission is August 26th, 2011.
* A film submission means:
1. 3 copies in DVD.
2. Entry Form.
3. Authorization letter
4. CD with additional information (Forms and 3 stills from the film 300 DPI)

HOW TO APPLY?

1. Yo have to complete  the application on line (the entry form will be sent automatically to our e-mail)

* However, this is not enough:

_2.  You will have to download the AUTORIZATION LETTER (.doc) and sign it.

3_You have to send us:
_3 copies of the film in DVD.
_The AUTORIZATION LETTER.
_ A printed copy of the ENTRY FORM.
_3 pictures representatives of the film (.JPG 300 DPI) and 1 picture of the film director. You can send us this pictures by e-mail, or you can send them on a CD or DVD-.
_You can also send us additional information (trailer, press kit, posters, etc)

*Dates:

_You can send us your film whenever you want to.
_Despite this, the deadline is August 26th, 2011.
_Dont wait for the last minute to send your film, do it as soon as possible.
