Newen Studios' film label TF1 Studio adds "Funny Birds" to its line-up for the Cannes Film Market 2022:

Newen Studios' film label TF1 Studio adds a new title to its line-up for the Cannes Film Market 2022: "Funny Birds" by Hanna Ladoul and Marco La Via.
With Martin Scorsese as Executive Producer
Catherine Deneuve, Andrea Riseborough and Morgan Saylor set to star in the multi-generational drama.
The feature film "Funny Birds" directed by Hanna Ladoul and Marco La Via (whose 1st film "Anywhere With You" was selected at the ACID in Cannes in 2018 and acclaimed by critics) has been added to the line-up of TF1 Studio (the film label of Newen Studios) for the Cannes Film Market 2022.
Martin Scorsese will come on as executive producer.
This drama will follow the story of three generations of women from the same family. These women, played by Catherine Deneuve, Andrea Riseborough and Morgan Saylor, will find themselves gathered under tragic circumstances and will have to learn to live together on a small rural chicken farm in New-Jersey.
A movie produced by Julien Madon (“The Crew” by Julien Leclercq, “Macadam Stories” by Samuel Benchetrit, “Goliath” by Frédéric Tellier, “Dalida” by Lisa Azuelos) and Aimée Buidine (“Sons of Philadelphia” by Jeremie Guez) under Cheyenne Federation, Melita Toscan du Plantier (“In the Fade” by Fatih Akin selected in Cannes Film Festival in 2017 and Golden Globe awarded) and Raphaël Gindre (‘Anywhere With You’). The movie is co-produced by TF1 Studio and distributed by Newen Connect – TF1 Studio team (Newen Connect is the distribution subsidiary of the Newen Studios group).
Sabine Chemaly – EVP International Distribution Films Newen Connect - TF1 Studio: “We’re thrilled to team up again with these talented producers with strong track-records. We were all moved by the intergenerational story of Funny Birds, Catherine Deneuve will shine as a free-spirited, independent woman who comes back into her daughter and grand-daughter’s life, while they’re opposed in so many ways.
