LATC Announces Revamped & Online Edition of its Annual Global Film & TV Program
LATC Los Angeles Program Coordinator, Vanessa McMahon, attended 2021 Cannes Film Festival. On July 26, in Rio de Janeiro and Los Angeles, Latin American Training Center- LATC, announced the new Online Global Film & TV Program from October 17th to 30th, 2021.

Over two weeks, participants will have opportunities to learn, exchange experiences and network with well-known industry professionals, through panels, master classes, online meetings, pitching training, and the Pitch Panel. Emerging filmmakers, as well as experienced professionals, who seek to update and expand their skills, and prepare for the international market are welcome. Applications will be accepted up to September 17th on a first-come-first-serve basis. The twelfth annual edition offers both live and pre-recorded sessions in two options per day, to accommodate participants from different time zones: 6:00pm—9:00pm OR 8:00am—11:00am (Pacific Standard Time-PST). All online sessions will be conducted in English, without simultaneous translation. This year's Program includes a total of 21 industry panels, masterclasses, workshops, presentations and meetings. Selected topics include: ● Show me the Money: How to get your film financed ● Producers are Like Parents: So, what does a producer really do? ● Economic Recovery following COVID-19: The Importance of Global Screen Production ● If you write it, the audience will follow: An Insider's look at screenwriting ● The film director: The captain of the ship ● My country funds my movies: An overview of production incentives The Pitch Panel will offer ten participants, selected by a special Committee, through video pitches, the opportunity to present their pitches live and receive feedback from LA-based industry professionals. All participants who submit their video pitches will receive an audiovisual industry resource ebook, of their choice, from an online catalog. Participants may choose from six program Fees options. Affiliates of LATC Partners have an additional discount in any Program Fees. Space is limited. LATC executives will present the new Program structure and answer questions in three live events via Zoom: - July 29th (in Spanish) at 11am (Colombia | Mexico time) - July 30th (in English) at 5pm (Los Angeles time) - August 2nd (in Portuguese) at 1pm (Brasília time) All presentations will be recorded and made available on the LATC Youtube Channel. Previous LATC program editions included filmmakers, screenwriters, producers, attorneys and government officials from Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Cambodia, China, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Ghana, Japan, Lebanon, Mexico, New Zealand, Nigeria, India, Italy, Pakistan, the Philippines, Spain, South Korea, Taiwan and Vietnam.
