FilmHedge came to Cannes with big news for the film financing community

The announcements were made at the FILM FINANCE FORUM on May 20th where filmHedge's CEO & Founder Jon Gosier was speaking in the "State of the Industry" panel.

*FilmHedge* is a fin-tech lending platform for TV and Film producers. The company provides solutions for both film financiers and producers looking to borrow. The company was founded after the team lent more than $1 billion to Film/TV in previous roles and came together to improve the financing process for all.

"Our platform brings efficiency and reliability to media lending, using technology to reduce fraud, automate financial reporting, and improve the disbursement of earned returns"

Jon Gosier is the CEO and Founder of FilmHedge (http://filmhedge.com), a financial technology company that uses data and technology to improve Film and TV financing. FilmHedge accomplishes this by partnering with large institutional capital partners and automating placement of capital on their behalf. Meanwhile, eligible borrowers are issued debt financing up to $10M per project.

Prior to starting FilmHedge Jon spent years in tech and venture capital before becoming an independent film and media investor. He then developed an interest in successfully disrupting media finance models. His previous tech company, Audigent, provided music artists like Camila Cabello, Eminem, Post Malone, Blake Shelton, Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, Shakira, Rihanna, Jay-Z, and others new ways of understanding data with corporate partners that include: Condé Nast, TransUnion, Warner Music Group, Penske, a360 Media, Fandom and many others.

Jon is local to Atlanta, Georgia and is an alum of Savannah College of Art and Design.

We, at filmfestivals.com, are proud to share the big news Jon Gosier brought to Cannes, as a partner Jon Gosier has always been there when we needed his support !.

FilmHedge Raises $100M to Build a New Financial Operating System for Hollywood

Atlanta-based Fin-tech company FilmHedge has closed on $100M in debt financing to modernize Film and TV financing with its tech and data products.

The latest deal was with the private credit firm Coromandel Capital and follows a previous closing earlier this year between the company and another firm. Both transactions were $50M, giving FilmHedge $100M in total lending capacity.

FilmHedge is a fin-tech company providing short-term debt financing to borrowers working in Film, TV, and media. One of the company’s services is a lending platform that provides short-term financing (up to 12 months) to producers. The system determines the terms for loan offers algorithmically, based on the production finance plan and corporate agreements. The company also offers data products which track production spending in real-time, automate performance reports for investors, and financial transaction insights previously unavailable to media investors.

Coromandel Capital provides flexible, non-dilutive growth capital via senior secured lines of credit and term loans to specialty finance and FinTech’s that otherwise do not conform to the traditional credit boxes of banks and other financial intermediaries. A true partner, as opposed to a passive check, Coromandel Capital permits its clients to earn better terms over time, as well as provides operational advisory and outsourced capital markets.

“Our mission at FilmHedge is to make media investing more efficient, faster, and more scalable. You can’t really do that if you’re a film fund, a bank, or a private equity shop. Those models require too many decision-makers to sign off on a deal, which means they are slow,” said Jon Gosier, FilmHedge’s Founder and CEO. READ MORE CONTACT FILMHEDGE
