European Film Promotion alumni involved in 35 films showing at the Cannes Film FestivalBetween actors and producers present at the 78th Cannes Film Festival, European Film Promotion (EFP) has 34 former participants involved in films. EFP’s Producers on the Move program has brought forth 34 producers who have works showcasing at the festival, additionally EEP’s Shooting Stars program has produced 16 actors and actresses with work present at the festival. Together, these EEP alum are participating in 35 films from both the competition variety and other subsections of the festival. Some of the many EFP alumni include Fred Burle, co producer of The Secret Agent by Kleber Mendonça Filho, which also brings together Leontine Petit and Erik Glijnis who previously participated in the Producers on the Move program. Sentimental Value by Joachim Trier brings together four former Producers on the Move participants with Maria Ekerhovd, Andrea Berentsen Ottmar, Janine Jackowski, and Lizette Jonjic. The Love That Remains by Hlynur Pálmason has five Producers on the Move alumni– Anton Máni Svansson, Didar Domehri, Eva Jakobsen, Mikkel Jersin, and Nima Yousefi. Alumni of the Shooting Stars program include Cécile de France, who stars in two festival films Colours of Time by Cédric Klapisch and Dalloway by Yann Gozlan. Additionally, two alumni, August Diehl and Sven Schelker, star in The Disappearance of Josef Mengele by Kirill Serebrennikov. Additionally, EFP is excited to announce new guest producer Volodymyr Yatsenko as a member of the Producers on the Move team. Yatsenko is the co founder of the Kiev-based company ForeFilms, and has served as the producer of a number of films– including Reflection, To the Victory!, and Atlantis all directed by Valentyn Vasyanovych, as well as U Are the Universe by Pavlo Ostrikov.
