EFP EUROPEAN SHOOTING STARS and PRODUCERS ON THE MOVE Alumni at the Cannes Film Festival 2019

EFP (European Film Promotion) is delighted to announce that 14 former EUROPEAN SHOOTING STARS and 26 PRODUCERS ON THE MOVE alumni will celebrate the premiere of their films in Cannes. Two French actresses feature times at the festival: Hafsia Herzi, who starring in Mektoub, My Love: Intermezzo in Competition and presenting her feature film directing debut, You Deserve a Love, in the Critics' Week where she is also playing lead. Adèle Haenel is starring in Portrait of a Lady on Fire in Competition, in Heroes Don't Die in the Critics' Week and in the opening film of the Directors' Fortnight Deerskin. "It is such a pleasure to witness how the careers of the outstanding alumni of our programmes EFP EUROPEAN SHOOTING STARS and PRODUCERS ON THE MOVE - which is celebrating its 20th edition - have evolved over the years. Our member organisations recognised their potential and supported their careers by nominating them for our programmes. It is wonderful to be able to promote such outstanding talent on an international level," says EFP Managing Director Sonja Heinen.

EFP (European Film Promotion) is an international network of film promotion institutes from 37 countries from throughout Europe, each representing their national films and talent abroad. Under the EFP flag, these organisations come together to jointly promote the diversity and spirit of European cinema and talent at key film festivals and markets, in particular outside of Europe. EFP is financially supported by the Creative Europe - MEDIA Programme of the European Union and by its member organisations. The Hamburg-based office is backed by the German Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media, the Film Fund Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein and the Ministry of Culture of the City of Hamburg.
