Cannes Market Dailies

Queen Angelique Monet of Eti-Oni  « New Generation In Action » (a United Nations supported organization through the Economic and Social Council since 2016 -ECOSOC ) to honoured LA RIPOSTE A WHO film with an award during their Cannes event May 25th A.F.I. World Peace Initiative in Cannes. (Initiative that uses films to make an impact for world peace and tolerance.)

White House Presidential Volunteer Award Certified Organization.

Bruno Chatelin, (filmfestivals.com founder)took the award for WHO.

"La Riposte", a 15 minutes long movie produced by The World Health Organization (WHO) has also been awarded during Cannes with the "Movie that Matters Award in Cannes" May 22nd.

LA RIPOSTE is a testament to community resilience and perseverance against the COVID-19 pandemic and the hardships of life. Told through a dialogue between community leaders, health officials, scientists, and journalists, the film speaks about the importance of inclusion. Such a dialogue seldom happens but must take place.

"The Movie that Matters Award in Cannes" is a prize created and handed by Bruno Chatelin (filmfestivals.com founder, former head of Sony and UGC FOX distribution in France). 

"it was inspired by Lord Puttnam, my former boss at Sony when I was running theatrical distribution for the major in France while David Puttnam was running the studio and boldly tagged the company with that motto: "making movies that matter".", Bruno Chatelin recalls, he adds: "His vision inspired me with this theme and mission, and since then, each time I come caross a film with a purpose I like to help and give them this award which plays a major role in the marketing and positionning of the film, contributing to reaching a larger audience. The films that I awarded benefited , among others, of boosted awareness from 5000 media in town for the Cannes event." 

The Award has been given to a few documentaries with a purpose which inspire, can transform life of perception of important components of our lives and living together.

To name a few it was bestowed to Bilal, Junod, Enough Lebanon's darkest hour, Sound of Us, Iqbal, Yellow Submarine, Pope Francis , a man of his word...
