Join us at the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts to celebrate 25 years of SAFILM! Our Opening Night presentation kicks off with celebrity red carpet arrivals on Wednesday, July 31 at 5:00 p.m. to honor Cheech Marin (Cheech & Chong) with a Lifetime Achievement Award, followed by THE CHEECH, a short documentary by Edward Tyndall that explores Marin’s lifelong advocacy to the Chicano Art Movement at 6:00 p.m.

Actor Alex Wolff (Hereditary, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle) brings his directorial debut and U.S. Premiere of THE CAT AND THE MOON to San Antonio on Opening Night at 7:15pm in the Alvarez Theater, starring Wolff, Skyler Gisondo, Mike Epps and Stefania LaVie Owen. Alex Wolff is confirmed to attend the red carpet and post-screening Q&A! 

THE MARGARITA MAN directed by Daniel Ramos makes its Texas Premiere at SAFILM, screening Opening Night at 9pm, starring Anthony Guajardo, Pepe Serna, Danny Trejo, Jesse Borrego and Sebastien de la Cruz.
