J.K. Rowling will be writing the screenplay together with Steve Kloves, as confirmed by a recent report. As for the cast, most of them will retain their characters. However, Rowling had his back before the second film’s release. Regardless, Warner Bros. wouldn’t want to change important cast members at the last minute, and seems to have retained Depp. Another important aspect to keep in mind is that this is the director’s seventh movie in the whole franchise. As the director of the last half of the Harry Potter movie series, and all the Fantastic Beasts movies, he is the best candidate to continue with the venture.

The production for the third Fantastic Beasts movie is stated to start in 2020, as was rightly suggested by Dan Fogler. While we are on the topic of earnings, it should also be stated that these movies haven’t been on the same level as the other Potter movies when it comes to financial success at the box office.
