BrunoA few good news from the festival circuit I Bienvenue sur le blog de Bruno avec quelques news en français du circuit des festivals francophones. Laissez moi un commentaire quand vous le pouvez. Bergamo Film Meeting 2019 to offer tributes to Jean-Pierre Léaud and Mariusz WilczyńskiBergamo Film Meeting reaffirms its interest in animation cinema by presenting a national preview of the complete works by Polish director, animator, painter, cartoonist and performer Mariusz Wilczyński. This section complements the already announced tribute dedicated to Jean-Pierre Léaud, iconic actor of the French Nouvelle Vague, as well as François Truffaut's alter ego and privileged interpreter of European auteur cinema since the late 1950s; the Pasolini and the Arabian Nights project, consisting of a photographic exhibition, a panel discussion and the screening of three films by one of the greatest Italian intellectuals of the twentieth century; and the focus on the contaminations between cinema and contemporary arts, featuring Swedish creators Nathalie Djurberg and Hans Berg. Bergamo Film Meeting will officially inaugurate its 37th edition on Friday, March 8th, at the Ex-Chiesa Sant'Agostino venue at 8.30 pm, with a live scoring of Metropolis, Fritz Lang's silent masterpiece, presented in a restored version and performed live for the first time in Italy by the legendary American deejay Jeff Mills. As usual, the Festival will feature the sections Competition - Exhibition and Close Up, respectively highlighting the latest trends and emerging authors in fiction and documentary cinema. Once again supported by the European Union through the MEDIA sub-program of Creative Europe, with the upcoming edition Bergamo Film Meeting will keep its focus on continental cinema, featuring more than 150 films. 9 days of activities, ranging from screenings to meetings with authors, special events, educational activities for schools and children, accompanied by a lively offer of visual arts exhibitions, live music and comics, thanks to a consolidated network of collaborations with several other cultural institutions, both local and not. 15.01.2019 | Bruno's blog
