Blue Water Film FestivalA call for entries has begun for film-maker submissions of short films, feature length, animation, and documentaries. The entry must have been filmed in the state of Michigan or Sarnia-Lambton/Chatham-Kent or the person submitting the film must have participated in the production of the entry and have a permanent address in the state of Michigan or Sarnia-Lambton/Chatham-Kent. Entrants must be postmarked by Friday, June 3, 2011.All film finalists will be shown in their entirety on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at the 1,200 seat McMorran Theatre in Port Huron. Each film-maker finalist will also be featured in the official Blue Water Film Festival program. A panel of judges in the profession of film-making will select the winning films. These prizes, first place $1,000 (US), second place $750 (US), and third place $500 (US) will be awarded upon the completion of the evening films on October 8th. The Film Selection Committee Choice Award winner will receive $250 (US) also. |
