Voltage Pictures has launched worldwide sales on the romantic comedy Per Tutta La Vita (For All Life)

Voltage Pictures is launching worldwide sales on the highly anticipated Italian-language romantic comedy Per Tutta La Vita (For All Life), from the team behind the most remade film of all-time Perfect Strangers, it was announced today by President and COO Jonathan Deckter. Voltage will begin talks on the hot title with buyers at the upcoming European Film Market.

Lauded Italian auteur Paolo Costella directs from a script he wrote with Paolo Genovese and Antonella Lattanzi. The film is produced by Marco Belardi via his Lotus Production, a Leone Film Group company, with pubcaster RAI Cinema.

The powerhouse filmmaking team’s previous collaboration, Perfect Strangers, won the top prize at the Accademia del Cinema Italiano Awards and took €16 million at the Italian box-office alone. The film, which centers on a game in which friends at a dinner party agree to share their private phone messages, slowly revealing truths that test their friendships, marriages, and romances, was so popular that it was remade in a total of 18 countries including Spain, Mexico, South Korea, France, Hungary, Greece, China, Russia, Armenia, Germany, Poland, Vietnam, and Turkey. It also won the Award for Best Screenplay in an International Narrative Feature Film at the Tribeca Film Festival.

In keeping with the theme of relationships under pressure, Per Tutta La Vita follows four couples, who discover that their marriages are no longer valid because they were all performed by a fraudulent priest. Are they going to say the big yes once again, or will they use this excuse to run away from their marriage?

“This incredible filmmaking team from Perfect Strangers have a proven record in creating stories that have profound resonance and universal appeal,” said Deckter. “We’re thrilled our longtime friends at Leone and our new friends at Lotus have entrusted us with sharing Per Tutta La Vita with our international partners and look forward to helping maximize the potential of this special film through both traditional sales and of course remakes – but more on that later.”

Voltage recently launched sales on another hot Leone title, the highly anticipated English-language teen romance Time is Up, starring Bella Thorne and Italian popstar Benjamin Mascolo. The teen pic turns on two high-school seniors, Vivien (Thorne), who is an accomplished student with a passion for physics, and Roy (Mascolo), a troubled young man.  When an accident forces the unlikely pair to come to a stop and reclaim their lives, one minute at the time, they finally start living in a present that perhaps will prove to be more exciting than any predefined formula.
