Last year's event Dieter Kosslick signed the Gender Equality Pledge. This year, we will follow up with Mariette Rissenbeek discussing gender balance for her new team, considering the signing of the Gender Equality Pledge last year. The event took place at Meistersaal, Köthener Str. 38, 10963 Berlin Saturday, February 22, 9:30 am – 1:30 pm The event opened with Berlin Festival Director Mariette Rissenbeek on the results on gender balance for her new team and the 2020 festival programming, considering the signing of the gender equality pledge 2019.
It was followed by a keynote ”AI & Intersectionality: turning the tide before it’s too late” Dr. Emilia Roig, Founder and Executive Director, Center for Intersectional Justice about intersectionality regarding ”unconscious bias” in algorithms and the importance of diversity in AI.
Presentation: ”The rise of AI in TV and film production” Kati Bremme, Production Director Innovation & Prospective, France Télévisions about getting the right content to the right people at the right time.
Panel discussion: ”How much Feminine Intelligence is in AI?” Kati Bremme, Dr. Emilia Roig and Elke Walthelm, Executive Vice President Content, Sky Deutschland will discuss the opportunities and risks of new technologies for development, production and distribution of film, TV and streaming content. Moderator: Johanna Koljonen, CEO Participation Design Agency
