The Postcard Killings first project announced under the new deal from Capstone and Good Films CollectiveIndependent film financing and international sales company Capstone has closed a far reaching deal with Good Films Collective and Miriam Segal to finance and handle international distribution for a number of the production group’s upcoming feature films, it was announced today.
The first project announced under the exclusive deal negotiated between Good Films Collective founder Miriam Segal and Christian Mercuri, head of Capstone is the crime thriller The Postcard Killings.
Adapted from James Patterson and Liza Marklund’s #1 New York Times bestseller, The Postcard Killings is directed by the acclaimed and award winning Danis Tanovic (No Man’s Land, Death in Sarajevo, Tigers) from a screenplay adapted by Andrew Stern (Disconnect, Return to Me).
The Postcard Killings currently in pre-production, centers on a New York detective investigating the death of his daughter who was murdered while on her honeymoon in London. During his investigation, similar crimes are reported across Europe with each killing accompanied by a postcard sent to a local journalist.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan (AMC’s The Walking Dead, Rampage) stars in The Postcard Killings alongside Connie Nielsen, star of the groundbreaking hit Wonder Woman, and Cush Jumbo, star of The Good Fight. Paul Brennan (City of Lies, The Infiltrator), Peter Calvin Nelson (Production Exec. Sparkle, 55 Steps), and Leopoldo Gout (Molly’s Game, Alex Cross) produce the film alongside Segal.
Miriam Quote: With Capstone I believe we’ve found our long-term partner. Christian and his team’s knowledge and experience of the market are invaluable to an independent company like ours. We very much look forward to working together.
Christian Quote: Miriam has shown a knack for both developing and producing quality feature films. Her passion and energy are contagious and I look forward to working with her on the upcoming slate.
