Radiant Films International launches sales on star-studded films “PERCY” and "BIG GOLD BRICK"

Leading sales agent Radiant Films International has come on board to manage international rights on select Motion Picture Exchange (MPX) titles including two star-driven feature films; the political drama Percy starring Academy Award® winner Christopher Walken (The Deer Hunter, Hairspray), Christina Ricci (Casper, The Opposite Sex), and Zach Braff (“Scrubs,” “Arrested Development”), and the star-packed comedy drama Big Gold Brick with Oscar Isaac (Star Wars: Episode VI – The Force Awakens, Ex Machina), Andy Garcia (Book Club, Ocean’s franchise, ), Megan Fox (Transformers franchise), Lucy Hale (Blumhouse’s Truth or Dare, “Pretty Little Liars”), and Emory Cohen (Brooklyn, “The OA”). The announcement was made today by Radiant’s President and CEO, Mimi Steinbauer and MPX’s founder and CEO, James Andrew Felts.

Radiant Films will begin handling international sales at the upcoming European Film Market while MPX will continue overseeing domestic sales and strategy.

Percy is directed by Clark Johnson (S.W.A.T., Netflix’s Juanita) with the screenplay written by Garfield Lindsay Miller (The Last New Year) and Hilary Pryor (“Smudge”). In the vein of Dark Waters and Erin Brockovich, the film tells the incredible David vs. Goliath story of Percy (Christopher Walken), a family man and small-town farmer who stood up against one of the largest conglomerates in the world.

The highly anticipated completed film is produced by Daniel Bekerman (The Witch, Ready or Not) and Ethan Lazar (The Witch, The Prodigy).

Written and directed by Brian Petsos, Big Gold Brick recounts the story of the eccentric Samuel (Emory Cohen) and his fateful encounter with Floyd (Andy Garcia), a mysterious and extravagant family man who hires Samuel to write his biography, but Floyd’s wife (Megan Fox) and daughter (Lucy Hale) have other plans for Samuel.

Starring Oscar Isaac, Andy Garcia, Megan Fox, Lucy Hale, and Emory Cohen, the film is Executive Produced by Oscar Isaac and Kristen Wiig among others. Serving as producers are Petsos and Greg Lauritano under Petsos’ A Saboteur banner, along with JoBro Prods.’ Jonathan Bronfman.

“We are proud to be representing Percy and Big Gold Brick, two high caliber feature films at EFM. These dynamic films will leave a lasting impression on audiences worldwide, having an elemental theme of the underdog versus the wealthy,” Steinbauer highlights.

“This collaboration brings a high level of international expertise to our films and clients as we continue to grow as a global content company,” added Felts. “We are thrilled to kick off this new business relationship with Mimi Steinbauer and her amazing team at Radiant.”

In addition to co-representing Percy and Big Gold Brick, Radiant Films will also manage international sales on MPX’s suspense thriller Aftermath starring Ashley Greene (the Twilight franchise) and Shawn Ashmore (The X-Men Franchise) which is currently in post-production. The film is directed by Peter Winther (The Patriot, Independence Day, Godzilla) and is produced by Peter and his brother Lars P. Winther (Captain Marvel, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Ant-Man).

Percy, Big Gold Brick and Aftermath were financed by the film and TV production and financing company Productivity Media whose projects include the star studded film The Little Hours with Alison Brie (The Lego Movie, “Glow”), Aubrey Plaza (“Parks and Recreation,” Safety Not Guaranteed), Adam Pally (Iron Man 3, “The Mindy Project”), Nick Offerman (“Parks and Recreation”), and Dave Franco (Neighbors, 21 Jump Street).  Productivity Media credits also include two Sundance Film Festival 2020 hits Black Bear also starring Aubrey Plaza, Chris Abbott (“Girls,” “Catch 22”), and Sarah Gadon (“True Detective”), and Four Good Days from director Rodrigo Garcia (Albert Nobbs) starring Academy Award® nominee Glenn Close (The Wife) and Mila Kunis (Black Swan).

Additional titles being presented for international sales by Radiant under the MPX deal include the completed romance-thriller Altar Rock starring K.J. Apa (“Riverdale,” The Last Summer), and the sci-fi thriller Entangled starring Marlee Matlin (Children of a Lesser God, “Law & Order: SVU”).
