Actress CEMRE EBÜZZIYA Set For 69th Berlin International Film Festival World Premiere of Her Leading Role in Acclaimed  Director Emin Alper's "Kız Kardeşler" ("A Tale of Three Sisters")

Actress CEMRE EBÜZZIYA will be in Berlin for the World Premiere of her highly anticipated leading-role in Award-winning Director Emin Alper's "Kız Kardeşler" ("A Tale of Three Sisters"), the first Turkish film in Berlinale’s Competition section in eight years. CEMRE EBÜZZIYA will participate in photos calls and interviews  in Berlin. The World Premiere of "Kız Kardeşler” takes place on  11 February 22:00 at Berlinale Palast during the  69th Berlin International Film Festival.

 

The film’s Director Emin Alper has won more than 50 awards in national and international festivals, including the Special Jury Award at the Venice Film Festival's main competition for his second feature film "Abluka" ("Frenzy"). His first film, "Tepenin Ardı" ("Beyond the Hill") received the Caligari Prize in the Forum section of the Berlinale. "Kız Kardeşler" will be the 10th movie from Turkey to have participated in the festival's Competition section. A Turkish-Greek-German and Dutch co-production, "Kız Kardeşler" will appear before the jury of the Golden Bear, chaired by actress Juliette Binoche.

 

CEMRE EBÜZZIYA has leads in films from two of the most prominent and highly praised directors in the Turkish film industry. In addition to Alper’s Kız Kardeşler,” she also stars in  Kronoloji, the second feature from director Ali Aydin, Winner of the Luigi De Laurentiis Award  at the Venice Film Festival.

EBÜZZIYA  has also worked with other award winning film directors such as Hiner Saleem in Tight Dress and Ferzan Ozpetek (Nominated and Awarded in many festivals including Venice Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival) and internationally celebrated Turkish director Zeki Demirkubuz in his film Bulanti.

She is also known for her guest lead role on the most famous Turkish television show, Muhtesem Yuzyil (Magnificent Century) sold to more than 100 foreign countries and for her role in

Bartu Ben directed by Tolga Karacelik (Winner of Sundance Film Fest Jury Prize).

She’s been featured in publications such as Vogue Turkey, Marie Claire Turkey, Based Magazine, XoXo Magazine, Hurriyet Newspaper and Sabah Newspaper. CEMRE EBÜZZIYA is represented by Steven Adams at Buffalo 8 Management.
