FILMING HAS BEGUN ON THE THUNDER ROAD FILMS AND 30WEST PRODUCTION

Principal photography is underway on VIOLENCE OF ACTION, which Tarik Saleh (The Nile Hilton Incident) is directing from a script by J.P. Davis. Produced by Thunder Road Films and financed by 30WEST, the picture is shooting on location in the U.S, Germany and Romania.

Independent Spirit Award winner Ben Foster (Hell or High Water, Leave No Trace) and Gillian Jacobs (Community, Netflix Original Love) join powerhouse Chris Pine (Wonder Woman, the Star Trek trilogy, Hell or High Water) in the non-stop action thriller. Pine was announced earlier in the year in the leading role of James Harper.

Thunder Road Film’s Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee are producing VIOLENCE OF ACTION, 30WEST is fully financing the film. 30WEST’s Dan Friedkin, Micah Green and Dan Steinman will executive produce along with Chris Pine, Jonathan Fuhrman, Tom Lassally and Josh Bratman. Esther Hornstein of Thunder Road Films is co-producing.

STXinternational, a division of STX Entertainment, is handling international sales and will distribute directly in the UK and Ireland. CAA Media Finance and 30WEST are co-repping U.S. rights.

VIOLENCE OF ACTION synopsis:

After being involuntarily discharged from the Marines, James Harper (Pine) joins a paramilitary organization in order to support his family in the only way he knows how. Harper travels to Berlin with his elite team on a black ops mission to investigate a mysterious threat. Barely into his first assignment, Harper finds himself alone and hunted across Europe, where he must fight to stay alive long enough to get home and uncover the true motives of those who betrayed him.
