101 Films International, a member of the Amcomri Media Group, has secured worldwide distribution rights (excluding the US and UK) for the highly anticipated UK feature film, Running Naked. 

Comedy drama Running Naked sees old wounds open up as cancer survivors Ben and Mark’s friendship is tested when a piece of news forces them to change their perspectives.   

Directed by Victor Buhler (A Whole Lott More) the movie stars Matthew McNulty (The Syndicate, The Terror), Andrew Gower (Outlander, Being Human, Carnival Row, Black Mirror), Tamzin Merchant (Carnival Row, Pride & Prejudice), Rakhee Thakrar (Sex Education, Four Weddings and a Funeral), Emma Stansfield (The Tudors, Accused) and Sacha Parkinson (Mr Selfridge, The Crash). Music is by Craig Potter from the acclaimed band Elbow. 

One of the first UK feature films to be completed in 2020 since COVID-19, Running Naked was filmed in multiple locations across the UK, and has already been selected for the prestigious Portland Film Festival 2021 and also BJIFF 2021 (Bejing Film Festival).

Teenage Cancer Trust – “Every day, seven young people aged 13-24 hear the words "you have cancer".  Cancer can throw young people's lives into chaos, leaving them feeling isolated, scared and out of control. And it can have a lasting impact on their future, even for those who recover.  Running Naked touches on the very heart of a cancer diagnosis at a time in a young person’s life where they are finding out who they are and where they are going in their world.  This film lets the resilience, adversity, strength and indeed humour shine from the main characters and that sticking together has never been more important in getting young people through cancer.”

Part of the film’s profits will be donated to Teenage Cancer Trust and Weston Park Hospital. 

Running Naked – Mark and Ben have been friends since meeting as teenage cancer patients.  Twenty years later, Mark is a successful, womanising doctor while Ben has become a neurotic recluse – a prisoner of his own obsessive rituals and wacky habits. A dramatic piece of news upends their lives and challenges Mark and Ben’s friendship to the core. To break Ben out of his shell, Mark stakes everything he – and Ben – has, and drags his mate on an adventure that will change both their lives forever.
