New LFF trailer hits the streets

Landing in London, literally, is this year's trailer for the LFF, the work of London-based Creative Partnership. It was approached by LFF director Sheila Whitaker with an open brief, and according to creative director Christopher Fowler the company aimed to create something totally new: “Mike Leigh's Cockney geisha girl and Aardman's clay models were fine in themselves but we decided to go for something a little more iconic.

The 30-second sequence features a can of film descending from the sun to land in central London, rolling through Trafalgar Square and Piccadilly before finally coming to rest at an LFF cinema. Garry Bisson
