THE ENEMY WITHIN by Yorgos Tsemberopoulos

Eleni Kossyfidou/Blackbird production is pleased to announce you the World Premiere of the new film of Yorgos Tsemperopoulos "The Enemy Within" in the prestigious Montreal World Film Festival this August.

With "The Enemy Within", Yorgos Tsemberopoulos returns with a very strong story, eager to capture today's reality, lawlessness and violence in Athens. "The Enemy Within" is the story of a morally demolished man who used to be the pilar of his family, and of his struggle to get life back to normal.

The main character Kostas Stasinos, 48, is an ideologist agronomist, who lives peacefully with his wife Rania and their two children Louiza, 14, and Andreas, 17, in a residential suburb of Athens.

When his home is ransacked by a hooded gang, Kostas is brought face to face with several dilemmas and, beyond his logic and culture, he enters the vicious circle of violence. On the other hand, the teenagers, although deeply wounded, tend to move forward through love and friendship.  Yorgos Tsemberopoulos, sets a series of questions, without forcing the spectator, on the political and social dead-end, in the times of the Greek crisis.

"The Enemy Within'' has been officially selected  for  its world premiere by the Montreal World Film Festival in late August 2013, and by the Athens International Film Festival, for its Greek premiere on September 28, 2013. Theatrically it will be released in Greece on November 14, 2013 by Odeon.
