Awards of the 13rd International Film Students Meeting

The Jury of the 13rd International Film Students Meeting, consisting of students from centres in Argentina, Chile, France, Germany, Israel, Litguania, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom; chaired by the Laurent Cantet has decided to grant the following awards:

Panavision Award, FREAK Independent Film Agency Award, the BioBio Cine – DuocUC Award and an invitation to participate in the SHORT FILM CORNER at the next Cannes Festival to the film:

Panavision Award, FREAK Independent Film Agency Award, the BioBio Cine – DuocUC Award and an invitation to participate in the SHORT FILM CORNER at the next Cannes Festival to the film:

Greenland by Oren Gerner
Minshar for Art (Israel)

The Panavision Award carrying a complete camera package including HD Genesis camera and Primo standard lenses for four weeks of filming, or a voucher worth €10,000 for renting any kind of Panavision material, for the winning director.

FREAK Independent Film Agency Award includes the free submissions of the winner film to 50 international film festivals selected by the team of Freak and Worldwide sales agreement except for the school's country of origin.

BioBio Cine – DuocUC Award consisting of an invitation to participate in the next BioBio Cine, Festival Internacional de Concepción, Chile.

The second prize, consisting of an invitation to participate in the SHORT FILM CORNER at the next Cannes Festival, goes to:

Les Oiseaux-tonnerre by Léa Mysius
La Fémis (France)

The third prize, consisting of an invitation to participate in the SHORT FILM CORNER at the next Cannes Festival, goes to:

Idle, by Raia Al Souliman
National University of Theatre and Film (Romania)


The Orona Jury, consisting of students coming from the Universidad de Mondragon (Huhezi) and Escivi (Escuela de Cine y Video de Andoain). They will be coordinated by a teacher of the Universidad de Mondragon and there will be supported with the presence of Orona Fundazioa's Developing Manager to grant the following award:

Orona Award to the most cutting – edge short film in the Meeting:

Onno de Onwetende / Onno the Oblivious, by Viktor van der Valk
Netherlands Film Academy (Netherlands)

Savina Neirotti, Director of the TorinoFilmLab, in representation of the TorinoFilmLab to grant the following award:


Torino Award with which the winning director will be guaranteed attendance to a TorinoFilmLab program within 2 years after the award is given.
