The Antenna Documentary Film Festival today announces the third instalment of DocTalk, which provides unmissable talks from international and local industry figures, on everything from innovative funding models to successful grassroots distribution strategies.

 

Tickets are $55 / $35 for a full day pass with complimentary morning tea and lunch.

Vice President, Artist Programs, at Tribeca Film Institute (TFI), Ryan is at the forefront of the world of documentary. He provides over $2 million in grants to documentary, cross-platform and fiction storytellers worldwide. He will discuss how TFI supports documentaries and his insight into what’s happening in documentary right now.

 

Selling Your Film Without Selling Your Soul by Jeffrey Winter

Jeffrey Winter is co-executive director of The Film Collaborative, the first non-profit committed to distribution of independent film. TFC has worked with over 450 films, many of which are official selections at Sundance, Cannes, SXSW, the Berlinale and Toronto.  Jeffery will talk about independent filmmaking, distribution and his bestselling book ‘Selling Your Film Without Selling Your Soul’.

 

Field guide to Interactive Storytelling by Ingrid kopp

Interactivity – everyone needs to know something about it, and very few people do it well. Ingrid Kopp, Director of Digital Initiatives at Tribeca Film Institute, who oversees the New Media Fund and leads the Tribeca Hacks program, is one of the few.  Ingrid will share her wisdom on assessing, analysing and supporting interactive documentary projects and working with some of the most exciting producers in the sector.

Taking the crowdfunding model to the next stage, theatrical on-demand distribution is now a viable alternative for filmmakers looking to distribute their films to their audiences. Join Danny Lachevre (The Solid State), Jeffery Winter (The Film Collaborative), David Doepel (Leap Frog Films), John L Simpson (Titan View) and Amy Scully (producer of The Man from Coxs River) to discuss the rise of theatrical-on-demand.
