Lights, camera, action! Spike Lee and other top African American directors, producers, actors and writers celebrated the 2013 AMERICAN BLACK FILM FESTIVAL AWARDS in Miami Beach which is the most prominent black film festival in the US. 

The best and the brightest producers, actors, journalists, and film industry movers and shakers converged in Miami for the seventeenth annual American Black Film Festival (ABFF) Awards in Miami Beach, Florida. 

The ABFF film program is primarily composed of world premieres of narrative, documentary and short films. It is the leading film festival in the world for African American and urban content. Since its inception, the ABFF has showcased more than 600 films, rewarding and redefining artistic excellence in independent filmmaking.

Among the notable names at the 2013 ABFF included; Academy Award winning director Spike Lee, actor-director- filmmaker-ABFF Advisory Board Member Robert Townsend, playwright-filmmaker-novelist Dave Talbert, actor-filmmakerBill Duke, actor-writer Anthony Anderson, ABFF founder Jeff Friday, Vice President Global Cadillac Don Butler, producer-writer George Tillman Jr., actor Julito McCullum, actor Omari Hardwick, actress Regina King, actress Salli Richardson-Whitfield, actor Dondre Whitfield, and actor Derek Luke among many others.
